My journey to the Niger Delta river was an interesting one.
This will be my first time using a boat. It was indeed a terrific experience. I was afraid and at the same time happy. It was a mixed feeling. Lol!
The view was so beautiful and captivating, that I had to take a picture of it.
This place should have been a great tourist for Niger Delta but the crises and bunkering won't allow them to focus well.
Bunkering is an illegal way of refining crude oil. The water and fishes in the river get polluted by this act, thereby leaving the river in an undesirable condition.
I was able to paddle the boat a little, although I didn't do it well because I was a little nervous but I did my best as a novice. Fishes were moving inside the one water, some came close to the boat and a passenger in my boat caught a few with his net. It was a wonderful experience I'll want to experience again.
I hope I overcome the fear of boat on water someday.. It really nice to know your experience, hoping you could share more pics of the region.
