I hope you come back.... because I'll miss your sweet spirit!!! :) Yes, there are problems.... but maybe we will weather the storm?? :)

I mean, do we? I don't see a point to keep struggling as it is @dreemsteem. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! I agree with you on some of the points. It is difficult when the whales are upvoting junk and not really caring. Apparently that can be traced back to them following someone with an auto vote long ago and never turning it off in some cases. Then the user just takes advantage of that. I don't like that I will sometimes spend a significant amount of time on a post and it will pay out around $1-2. Sometimes even less. It does take a while to get some decent followers on here and it does take interacting regularly and significantly. Some days I wonder if it is really worth it to spend the amount of time that I have/do on here for $22 payout in the next week... My husband has given up on Steemit and my son goes in and out. I have stuck with it, but I don't post every day like I used to. A lot of the reason I am still on is The STEEM Engine and how I help out there. And I enjoy reading some of the blogs of people I like. I can understand your reasons for wanting to leave or take a break. Your recent payouts for posts look pretty strong and you do a great job and I enjoy seeing your posts.

Hey @apanamamama! Thanks for your appreciation, I am glad you did like my post. As you said, the mechanism is not really good for new users here, it's more of a plankton-whales relationship.
I'm for sure taking a break from posting. It might be short, it might be long.
TheSteemEngine is indeed really amazing and I loved interacting with each of you!

I think you need a break, to be honest, Bafi.
I only post a couple of times a week, and spend heaps of time reading, but then I'm a native English speaker.
Take a month. Drop in once a week to upvote posts until you've used up your voting power so you're still getting curation rewards, but look after yourself.
Many of the issues you've identified will fade away, others will rear up; but through it all you'll always be one of the early adopters.
A year from now people will complain that they don't have the same opportunities you had; to write posts and stockpile steem while it was still less than $10.

Thanks @mattclarke for your reply. Maybe this is just a physiological drop and the bidbot mess will be just a remote problem in some months. Maybe Steemit will totaly turn in a (ro)-bot social platform, who knows.
The idea to be in the 1st milion user is really exciting, the mess that is going nowadays is not.

Seeing that some account can upvote (or flag) like your entire balance, that you put time and energy is really demotivating.

No matter the problem; people are working on the solution.
The #nobidbots tag is gaining traction for example.
If you haven't used bots, you use that tag.
Those who hate bots are spending more and more time reading and voting in that tag, so more people are posting to it.
Take the pressure off yourself mate; come back when you can't stop yourself :)
