Is it really for reducing E-Waste?—iPhone 12 without a charger in the box

Recently the release of iPhone 12 had become more of a controversy, they just removed the power brick and charging cable from the box. On a first impression, it feels like a terrible thing to do. For a common man's mind, it's unapprovable. But as always apple had a million words if explanation to prove their side. So there are people who support this apple's act, mainly apple fans. And some people just troll and opposes their act.

From apple's side, their explanation is very romantic as always. It's the environment which they are cared about now, and there are also some real facts in it. A huge percentage of the iPhone 12 buyers will be the ones who have older iPhones, a certain percentage has the iPhone 11 and other recent models. So for them when they buy these new iPhone, this new one will become an extra which they don't use much. So comparing it in whole there will be tons of extra chargers out there.

This has an important role in e-waste around the globe. So providing the chargers separately will end up in only useful people buying it. It seems like a smart choice, even it's a huge step towards a direction. Climate Change is a trending topic now, so they simply related the e-waste stuff with that. So it adds up like Apple had some point.

The next part is the other side of the story, as a consumer when you don't get a charger and earphones as accessories in the box, you will expect a clear price dip from previous models. But that much of a change didn't happen in this situation. It's as expensive as before, but they have some things to talk about that also, the new chip and other features.

Apple is being criticised by bloggers and some other YouTubers for their act about this even when they had these climate change thing to talk about. Now there is this last part about Apple's profit and future by doing this.

The first and most important use is the shipping charges they could save by the box becoming about half of a size. They could ship around the double amount of products with the same charges. And the other important thing a set of new accessories Apple has brought forward.

Mainly it's the series of wireless charging products and other magnetic wallets which could be used with it. At this situation, they could have a huge sales of that product. It had become a great way to market their new product. And there is a huge rumour that they are going to make their next iPhone portless. So from the next version, there will be only wireless charging.
