A steward's palace

I want an apartment in a city like San Diego where people actually interact with each other. I want someone to offer me a place to live, for very inexpensive, so that I don't have to live at home with my parents. Oh and a laptop. If someone gave me a laptop for free, that would be a great present, but maybe not the perfect present.

Something is missing from the perfect apartment though. But if someone said, "Hey, I need someone to take care of my place for the next 7 months while I _________." YES. That is exactly what I'm looking for.

But I think I need to clean up this place first.
