To my companion for life,
I have seen through the corner of my eyes, the way you look at me in between the boring lectures or the way you smile when our eyes meet first thing in the morning. I too wish to bump into you as soon as I enter the big black gate.
I too feel a connection but before we exchange our hellos, take a moment to decide if you're ready to dive into the oceans of my vulnerabilities and soar through the skies of my joy? I'll be your best mistake, your favourite nightmare.
I'm a weirdo. I'll cry on the silliest of things and laugh away the distress of any lousy situation. If you peep inside, you'll find the little child in me still alive, sitting in a dark corner with her head buried in her knees. She craves to be loved, will you be her lover and kiss away her sorrows?
I'm a procrastinator. I'll do my best to delay our regular coffee dates and shopping sprees. You might also have to drag me out of my shell into the invisible boundaries of the outside world.
I'm not social. If you agree to hold my hand while it is pricked with my burns, I want you to know that there might be times when I might suddenly become silent or be as blank to start a conversation as my math answer sheet. In that moment, I want you to embrace me in your arms, caress my hair and stay like that until the end of time.
I love getting clicked. So while I watch the sun go down, or sip the morning tea or just rest my head against the wall, you're allowed to capture those subtle moments of cuteness, innocence and shyness. And while we'll click photos together, remember that I'll photobomb every picture with my weird tongue-out or squinty-eye face.
Though you have already seen how lean I am, I'm a heck of a foodie. Just like Joey, I too hate sharing my food. The way I see cheesy pizza or the juiciest chicken will make you fall in love with me a little more. But since exceptions are omnipresent, I'll let you have the last bite of my Cornetto.
