Dear Steemit Community:

It is my privilege to introduce myself to you all. My name is Baby Beluga and I’m a whale.

Not just any whale, but a small and innocent Beluga whale. As such, I’m friendly, usually found in Arctic waters and I’m not the type of whale you probably love to hate that can manipulate markets (at least not yet… bwahaha).

My likes include cod, salmon, shrimp, squid, decentralized blockchain-based financial networks and writing about them (more on that later!).

My dislikes include polar bears, killer whales (aka the bad whales) and Roger Ver.

What am I doing on Steem?

I’m here for two reasons:

• I love this community and the idea behind this platform!

To be honest, I’ve been on Steem for quite some time, although with a different name. I’ve also written extensively about crypto on other public forums (let the speculating begin). However, after becoming the target of too many phishing and hacking attempts to count, I realized (sadly) that perhaps the price of anonymity was worth paying after all.

• I believe that I have valuable insights to share…

Being anonymous doesn’t mean I have less to share. In fact, quite the opposite. I’ve been around the block a few times in crypto. I’ve seen my meager initial investment become a life-changing amount of money (life-changing, not market-changing. Like I said, I’m a baby whale, not a full-fledged “fuck the little guys” kind of whale). I’ve been on the right and wrong side of trades before and I wanted to share my experience with all of you.

Why do we have to listen to you?

You don’t!

You don’t have to listen or agree with anything I post. However, I promise you that my posts will be well-researched and cite references. There will be no baseless shilling of coins or crazy uninformed price predictions. My posts will fall under three, and only three categories.

• Informative Introductory Articles

Most of my first articles will fall under this category. These will hopefully be useful tools for people who are new to crypto or for experienced traders to send to newer people to help with onboarding.

• Technical Discussions of Coins and New Technology

There are so many crypto projects these days that the good ones can get lost in the noise and scam coins can seem promising. I hope to break down some of these coins and projects in an easy-to-understand and informative way.

• Analysis and Discussion of Current Affairs

World news and political developments have large consequences on the crypto market. I hope to discuss what certain news items mean for us in the community and speculate their long term effects.

I plan to post around once a week. I wish I could post more often, but I have another full-time job and these will be longer articles to prepare. I hope that quality can win over quantity in this case.
