بچے گلی میں کرکٹ کھیل رہے تھے کہ گیند پاس والے مکان کی کھڑکی کا شیشہ توڑ کر اندر جا گری۔

خاتونِ خانہ نے غصے سے دروازہ کھولا لیکن گلی سنسان تھی۔ آدھا گھنٹہ اسی تذبذب میں گزرا ہی تھا کہ دروازے پہ دستک ہوئی۔

دروازہ کھولا تو ایک بچہ اندر داخل ہوتے ہوئے بولا۔ آنٹی معاف کر دیں ہماری غلطی کی وجہ سے آپ کا نقصان ہوا۔
وہ دیکھیئے میرے والد صاحب شیشہ لگانے آ رہے ہیں۔ اب آپ ہماری گیند واپس کر دیں۔

خاتون نے دیکھا کہ ایک شخص شیشہ اور ایک تھیلا اٹھائے ان کے گھر کی طرف آ رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے گیند واپس کردی۔

وہ شخص گھر میں داخل ہوا اور نیا شیشہ لگانے کے بعد بولا۔ “ایک ہزار روپے دے دیں”۔

خاتون نے پوچھا کس بات کے ایک ہزار؟؟؟ تم اس بچے کے باپ نہیں ہو؟

“نہیں” اس شخص نے جواب دیا۔

پھر چونک کر بولا “آپ اس کی ماں نہیں ہیں

The children were playing cricket in the street when the ball broke the window glass of a nearby house and fell inside.

The housewife angrily opened the door but the street was deserted. Half an hour had passed in such hesitation that there was a knock on the door.

When the door opened, a child entered and spoke. Sorry Auntie, you got hurt because of our mistake.
Look, my dad is coming to get some glass. Now you return our ball.

The woman saw a man coming towards her house carrying a glass and a bag. He returned the ball.

The man entered the house and spoke after installing new glass. "Give me a thousand rupees."

The woman asked what a thousand ??? You are not the father of this child?

"No," replied the man.

Then he said in shock, "Aren't you his mother ????"
