Connection

From the very beginning all the way to this moment, we, the product of countless connections uninterrupted for eons, find ourselves in the most interlinked time, at least as far as we know. No matter what someone believes in, nobody can deny this long chain of successive connections that have resulted in their very existence, and if they could picture how fragile and dependent on the whole that process has been they would rejoice in the blessings and gratitude of existing, no matter what circumstances they might be in. Today, more than any other time, with ease we can communicate and befriend one another from different continents and this link is possible because of our inherent need to relate and understand driven by our everlasting curiosity.

The structure of our brains is reflected in the structure of the universe, our neurons and their connection are mimicked by the galaxies and the superclusters they are part of and that interlinked cosmic web has a remarkable likeness to the structure of our brains.

What holds us together, from the very need to belong, to feel included, to feel wanted and therefore valued, guides us to become part of something much larger than ourselves. Our inherent need to procreate doesn't do justice to our desire to feel wanted in the same way that our need to eat doesn't do justice to our want to be satisfied. We resolve that by building a life together and having a family and by being part of our community. In today's world even though we've become more connected to the rest of the world, we've traded our connection to our neighbors and even our immediate family, or our connection to our peers, for the connection to the rest of the world. In connecting with the rest of the world we give less and less time to come together as a husband and wife, or as children and parents and we've been progressing for quite a while in our connection to the TV, the entertainment that it provides and our communities have largely become the victims of this trade-off.

Our place in this world is integral, as we are very much its stewards. We've reached the stars and pierced into the atom. We've explored the mountains and connected continents divided by oceans but our work isn't done. We must strive to overcome the differences that pit us against each other and share our time together, we must realize how fragile the uninterrupted connection that brought us here and now is and vow to safeguard those who are most susceptible to being broken off and the one thing we should always observe in that direction is to not create any more wrong and not destroy any more good.

Amen to that! If nothing else, then just that, just that justthat justThat!

Did you just wake up feeling one with the Universe, or did a little DMT help in that regard?
Digging the Positive Vibe man...
I've always felt strongly that everything we can experience down here on Earth is a microcosm, for everything out there in the Universe.
It just makes sense...

I was led by my nose with the certainty of ""what I thought I was" straight into the wall of reality which shattered my naive notions, again and again until finally I literally snapped out of my body, into a body of light facing myself and while in that body I touched my physical vessel with my index and middle fingers in between my eyebrows after which I snapped back to feel the after sensation of touch, and I did it two more times for good measure to verify what I was, snapping back and forth.

I think that in this world, what we can experience is far more than what we can experience in the "larger scheme" in regard to the pain and suffering that life is in our world.

Hey, @baah.

Well said and very eloquently put. Regardless of what we believe and the specifics of how we arrived, we're here, and we're connected. It seems rather ironic that the devices that would connect us to the world are the same that would divide us as families and communities. But only if we don't strive for togetherness on both ends.

Maybe it's a grass is always greener scenario—wanting more than what we have right in front of us—or maybe it's the thought that someone else's life has to be less boring based on locale or something else that is seemingly more exotic.

I just hope, as you say, we manage to find the way to keep it together.

I was impressed, so I checked and found out three facts of interest. That you joined in 2016; that this was your first post and, three, you name yourself:

Bah FucYou
