24-man Gilas pool for FIBA Asia has been released

The Philippine Basketball Association announced the 24-man Gilas Philippines national pool to be announced in the first window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers in February.
PBA players Japeth Aguilar of Ginebra, Kiefer Ravena and Poy Erram of NLEX, CJ Perez of Columbian, Troy Rosario and RR Pogoy of TNT Katropa and Matthew Wright of Phoenix will lead the national training pool.
The team also included veteran power forward Marc Pingris and Christian Standhardinger, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Mac Belo.
Not in the national training pool is five-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel and TNT Katropa playmaker Jayson Castro.
SBP is expected to name an interim coach to hold the Nationals.
SBP joins PBA rookie draft picks Isaac Go of Columbian, Rey Suerte of Blackwater, Matt Nieto of NLEX, Alaska's Allyn Bulanadi and Mike Nieto of Rain or Shine.
The SBP recently added troops to collegiate standouts Thirdy Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Jaydee Tungcab of the UP Fighting Maroons.
Others in the national training pool are Kobe Paras, Juan and Javi Gomez De Liaño of UP, NU's Dave Ildefonso, Ateneo's Dwight Ramos and Justine Baltazar of La Salle.
SBP prepares collegiate cagers for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
The 24-man training pool will draw Gilas' Final 12 for the first window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers set for February 20.
The Nationals will face Thailand in Group A on February 20 and then Indonesia on February 23.
In the second window in November, Gilas Philippines will face South Korea.
