The record book has been rewritten!
So the dust has settled on the unique and eventful track at Daytona for most people but i know of a few that are still bouncing around with excitement about the record breaking event that went down. Justin Brayton and his team at MotoConcepts have etched themselves into the history books last weekend and the excitement is contagious! Unfortunately for Mike Genova he missed the event but he has taken to social media to express his delight.

"I would like to take this opportunity to publicly express how proud and happy I am for Justin Brayton, the whole MCR team and all of our great sponsors for this past weekends win in Daytona. The accomplishment of winning Daytona is gigantic for any team, as it’s the most prestigious, difficult and prolific race in SX, so when our team builds a bike that captures its first win at the beast they call Daytona is even that much more sweet for many reasons.
The #10 was astonishing in so many ways. Of course Justin’s is #10 but add to that that it was March 10, 10th race of the year, Justin’s transponder ended in the number 10, his frame number ended 10 and this is MCR’s 10th year racing. I guess you could say it was a perfect 10 of a night for Justin and the team, inclusive of a winning the heat and main event.
The out pouring of congratulations, compliments, happiness and joy that people have expressed towards Justin and the team has been more than we ever could of imagined and for that I would like to offer a huge Thank You to all of our sponsors including but not limited to, Bullfrog Spas, American Honda, ReKluse, Yoshimura, XPR engines, fans and supporters who believe in us."
It's crazy to think that Justin Brayton had not won a 450 SX Main Event in his career and now he has set two records in one hit!
First up he is now the oldest rider to have ever won a 450 SX Main Event, breaking the long standing Mike Larocco’s record. Then secondly he has now set the most races before winning his first Main Event, breaking Andrew Short’s record.
Check out how it feels to break those records with the man himself.

very interesting...
very good record man. this is not only bike race, when we see race then we will feel rocket race. just awesome. go on.
Wow, Congratulations to Justin. Two records with one hit. I can imagine the excitement. He had done well, despite previous attempt. He kept on pushing and trying until he got it right. This has a lot to talk about life itself and success.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this continue. As Justin mentioned in his interviews after, it's his mental game that has raised the bar and with this win I'm sure his confidence will continue to grow. This should certainly add to the mix in the races to come! Keep an eye out for #10 he could be very interesting to watch!
