It has been announced that due to an issue between the Gatorback Cycle Park owners and Unlimited Sports the 2017 Monster Energy MXGP of America will move tracks. The track lease expired on June the 30th and both parties were unable to reach an agreement on the renewal.

The good news is that WW Motocross Park at WW Ranch Florida is ready and waiting to accept the challange! Its a brand new facility which is only a few years old. Dreamtraxx are the track designers on the 2013 opening track and it was recently voted as the #1 track in Florida by Moto Playground. WW Motocross Park is pretty local to the original Gatorback Cycle Park track being just 51 miles away and located just west of Jacksonville. The track is a great mix of sand and dirt with some amazing techincal sections.

MX Sports Pro Racing President

"We are fully committed to producing a successful MXGP of USA in 2017 with Youthstream and Unlimited Sports, and this venue shift will help ensure that prospect. While we were looking forward to returning to a widely known facility like Gatorback Cycle, we are even more excited to be going to work on WW Motocross Park with Unlimited Sports and of course Youthstream to bring the FIM Motocross World Championship and the Monster Energy MXGP of the USA to a rapidly growing WW Motocross Park."

Vice President of Youthstream

"We want to thank Carrie and Davey Coombs and MX Sports for their reactivity to find a solution so quickly. We are sure that thanks to their efforts the FIM Monster Energy MXGP of the USA will be even more successful and that it will strengthen our relationship for the future."

"I’ve ridden WW Motocross Park many times and I even raced there before I turned pro, and it’s a really good track. It’s a classic Florida sand track, with a good mix of clay on the jumps and dark sand straights, and while it starts out fast, it gets good and rough. I think it’s going to be a great track for the MXGP of the USA."

@b0y2k,
OMG that's awesome event! Thanks for this information and can you please tell me can I watch this event at any TV channel?

Thanks for this great article!

Cheers~

Stay locked to me @theguruasia! I will be posting the races once they are done :)

Awesome didn't know steemit had a sponsored race team. It's sad when greed (I'm assuming it was greed) comes into play, but have to admit usually change brings about something for the better!

It's unofficial but maybe @ned and the steemit guys will back me at some point :)
I started it up last year and i do all the kits, bikes and promotion on here.
Yes it always comes down to money when these thing stall... and when you are hosting a major event like an MXGP it becomes even more so....

I figured it was unofficial, but still cool!

Amazing looking track, some mad looking jumps too.

You know it @agaupt :)

great post! :)

Seems like the Park owners are missing out on the great things motocross can provide.
Let's see what this new venue will be like!

Always about money mate... always. Good chance for someone else to prove they want it more now though :)

Damn thats nice 5+

That aerial shot makes the track look awesome. I would definitely be up for a shot on that.

You know it mate, the GP team will get it combed and ready for some epic racing :)
