Utopian.io is the manager of the open-source economy. It rewards contributors for contributing to open sourced projects. It has grown over the past few months to the recent hundreds of contributions per day totaling more than two thousand contributions in just a few months. One of the first questions of all contributors was how to attach their contributions to a repository as the language estranged many contributors. But as time passed many of those who had question has their questions as they got to know that the repository is the heart of their contributions.
Many of the contributors are using mobile phones to contribute from around the world and this is the main reason why this tutorial was made.

The challenge

When one is about to make a contribution on utopian.io, it is important to choose a suitable category as well as a correct repository. Many contributions have been rejected for modification as the repository is either null or incorrect.

After you have typed the name of the project in the repository field while making a contribution on utopian.io, it is important to press enter so that the system can search for the projects that has the same name on github.com. Then the contributor can select one of the search result so that the contribution can be stored in the appropriate project for the project owner to see and make appropriate changes to make the project better.
This is very easy to do on computers and some set of phones as their keyboards brings out the right action ('enter' to search through the projects) but this proves difficult on some set of phones like infinix hot 5 on updated chrome browser as it brings out 'next' button instead of 'enter' in the repository field thus going to the next tab and not searching through the github projects to bring out the results so that the correct project can be selected to be contributed on.

I have had some problem making contribution on utopian.io especially when i changed phone to infinix hot 5 which is operating on android 7 or xos. whenever i open the contribution pane or page. In the field to enter the repository, where we are supposed to enter the name of the project and press enter on the keyboard. After pressing the enter, it jumps to the next tab without listing projects on the repository so one can select from the list. This happens when using google chrome and other mobile browsers. @ntony tries to made a bug report on this issue and got to know that there are other users who are experiencing this. You can read the post here, some people made an important point that the challenge was with the keyboard. We have actually tried installing other keyboards but to no avail. But something else works for me, and it will work for those having this same issue on utopian.

How to solve it.

I am making this tutorial to explain how this issue can be solved. One can solve this problem by using the search box on the utopian page.

Go to utopian.io and log in:

Tap the search box and type the name of the project (take for example utopian) you want to contribute to. Leave the category at ‘projects' . Then press enter.

The result gives you the list of the project, select the particularproject you are contributing to , in this case utopian.io/utopian.io.

The next page takes you to the project page containing the project contributions.

Then tap on the ‘add contribution' located at the top right corner of the page

Choose the appropiate category, read the rules for the category selected, and click continue.

On the next page select the repository field, it will automatically bring out a list of suggestions for project repositories, the same as when you are searching for project, select the appropiate one and make your post.

P.s. This should not have been so. I am not sure where the error is coming from, but this should not stop contributions from users who are having this issue. The steps listed above should not take more than a minute to complete, its so easy .
