The world is growing into an age where dependence on computer and aides is increasing exponentially. We humans want to delegate some duties to robots, which have been programmed. It is imperative to note that robots or system which can think for themselves are the most patronised. I believe this was what brought artificial intelligence, and since it inception, developers have improved on it, make it to do wide variety of job (applied it in different fields). One of the fields, robotics has been majorly applied is in the internet facilities and websites design. The developers want some things to be done without constant manual imput. I believe this can also be applied on steepshot with the inclusion of an automatic day/night toggle.

Auto Day/Night toggle

I suggest that there should be an option for day/night toggle on steepshot which will change the outlook of the website from white to a darker one, for the sake of those who are affected by bright lights in the night, for example steemit has an option that does that screenshot below:

I suggest that there be another option where the user can select an automatic toggle from day to nightmode or vise versa. I have been using NOVA launcher on my android for i long time now and this auto day/night toggle has come in handle, so i will like to use it as an example to explain or describe what i mean by automatic day/night toggle.

The effect

When the automatic day/night mode is turned on, during the day the menu button remains white,

The app drawer is normal.

So also the in app options.

But between the hours of 7:30pm to 6:00am in the morning the entire system is automatically on night mode as you can see, from the menu button:

All are in the night mode. Take good notes of the time in both cases ( top right corners of screenshots circled in red)

There is the in app setting where one can easily switch from automatic toggle to manual.

I suggest that the options for the automatic toggle should be located in the menus on the website (screenshot below)

Reputation score

I also took note that while browsing through names of users on steepshot, there is nowhere to see the reputation of the users.

So i suggest that the reputation score be included, as well as a place to list the top users of steepshot.

Benefits

• Automatic Day/night toghle for steepshot will save the stress of having to switch over and over again from day to night mode or night to day mode for users who wish to.

• It also makes the website cooler and inviting for users.

• This could be a selling point and a way to make steepshot know world wide, since its target is lifestyle. I am pretty sure that there may be no other website with this same behaviour (auto day/night mode)

• The rep score allows for users to know whose work to follow, and which user has been built with consistency. It also helps to know new users in a case where works need to be supported or one is looking for someone(a new user whose work hasn't been seen) to encourage.

• Having a list of top users on steepshot to follow allows for new users to learn from the old ones.

I believe with the implementation of these ideas alpha.steepshot.io will skyrocket as visitors who have love and interest for style will be more interested to interact with steepshot the more.
