Bajra Sandhi Monument

Bajra Sandhi Monument, is a monument in the city of Denpasar, the place is in the Renon area. This monument was built and dedicated to the struggle of the people of the island of Bali.

The name Bajra Sandi comes from the words Bajra and Sandhi. Bajra means Genta and Sandhi means holy. When viewed from the shape of the building of the monument, it does look like the Holy Genta used by Hindu priests, when chanting mantras in worship ceremonies

I and my friend visited Bajra Sandhi when I got inside the monument I was guided by the Bajra Sandhi Museum guide. The Bajra Sandhi Museum Guide explained that the museum was built in 1981 by Ida Bagus Made and was inaugurated by the 5th president, Mrs. Megawati Soekarno Putri, the Bajra Sandhi Design Museum contains 17 entrance gates, 8 main pillars, and 45 meters high Monument. For the cost of admission to the Bajra Sandhi monument you can see below : Adult, Rp. 25,000 / person. Child, Kindergarten & Elementary School, Rp. 2,000 / child. Middle school, high school & students, IDR 5,000 / person. Car park Rp 5,000 / car. Motorcycle parking Rp. 2,000 / motorcycle.

Inside the monument I saw many photos of stories including:

1. The concept of heaven three Empu Kuturan Century 11 AD.

2. basic construction of the 14th Century gels.

3. The heyday of the kingdoms in Bali in the 17-19 century period.

4. War of Jagaraga 1848-1849.

5. The Kusamba War of 1849.

6. Banjar people's resistance 1868.

7. Preparing Sagung Wah against the Netherlands 1906.
