Paying with Qris at Alfamart and the insistent cashier |

I prefer shopping at traditional markets compared to modern markets. However, I am also a member of a number of modern markets, one of which is Alfamart. Not only am I a member, but occasionally I buy AMRT shares even though I don't hold the shares for long. If I'm profitable, sometimes I sell and buy again when it goes down.

So, I could be said to be an Alfamart shareholder even though the number of lots I bought was only small.

I think being a member of a minimarket chain like Alfamart is also important because of various conditions, for example because I travel a lot. If I'm at the airport or in a certain city, it's impossible for me to look for a traditional market because of efficiency and effectiveness considerations.

So far, I have never been disappointed with the service at Alfamart or Indomaret. On Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11.40, I stopped at Alfamart on Jalan Pase, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. My child asked for snacks and I also bought milk. Total spending was IDR 87,300 and I paid with Qris BCA.

When I wanted to pick up my groceries, the cashier said the money hadn't arrived yet. I then showed the account mutation transaction. Incidentally, only one transaction. "I showed proof of the mutation with screenshots and pdf versions, but neither of them can be evidence," said the cashier.

She then called his partner. I usually explain it like this is finished. But this is very complicated and wastes a lot of time. I, who was in a hurry, became annoyed and if I couldn't do it, just cancel the purchase and return my IDR 87,300 money.

"It can't be like that, sir," said the servant.

"If we can't, let's go to BCA to see more detailed proof of transactions. You can also go to the police station," I said, half joking. Coincidentally, on the other side there was the Banda Sakti Police and the police chief was my friend. Even if I go to the BCA office, I can't be served in Aceh because I hold a conventional BCA while in Aceh it is a sharia BCA. This is also another difficulty living in Aceh which rejects the existence of conventional banks.

The cashier remained persistent. She asked for more detailed proof of transactions according to her. This means, it's the same as him doubting the transaction proof that I showed. This is stupid and stubborn. Where is there proof of the transaction as the cashier wants? I explained that QR means Qris, and there is Alfa written in the transaction number QR 835 00000.00ALFA_W662.

After I got angry, the item was finally handed over, but he didn't give me a shopping receipt. The cashier turned angry because I took video documents and photos. She threatened that I could sue if I took photos without permission. As a journalist and lecturer who teaches journalism (also business communication because my educational background is economics), I really understand this so I invited her to make a report to the police. I would actually be very happy if the cashier wanted to take it to court.

What exactly is the mechanism at Alfamart to ensure that transactions with Qris have been successful or not? Explanation please.

I am sure that the system at Alfamart is good, as are the service standards. The proof is that I have made payments with Qris BCA thousands of times at Alfamart and other minimarkets in various cities. But this is the first time there has been a problem like this.

My debate attracted the attention of several visitors and that was not good for Alfamart. The cashier's threatening attitude was also very unfriendly in dealing with critical customers like me.

Membayar dengan Qris di Alfamart dan Kasir yang Ngotot

Saya lebih senang berbelanja di pasar tradisional dibandingkan dengan pasar modern. Pun demikian, saya juga menjadi member dari sejumlah pasar modern, salah satunya Alfamart. Bukan hanya menjadi anggota, tetapi sesekali saya membeli saham AMRT meski tidak menahan saham tersebut dalam waktu lama. Kalau profit, terkadang saya jual dan membeli lagi ketika turun.

Jadi, saya boleh dibilang termasuk pemegang saham Alfamart meski jumlah lots yang saya beli hanya sedikit.

Saya pikir, menjadi anggota dari jaringan minimarket seperti Alfamart juga penting karena berbagai kondisi, misalnya karena saya sering berpergian. Kalau sedang di bandara atau di kota tertentu, saya kan tidak mungkin mencari pasar tradisional karena pertimbangan efisiensi dan efektivitas.

Selama ini, saya tidak pernah kecewa dengan pelayanan di Alfamart atau di Indomaret. Pada Selasa, 9 Juli 2024 pukul 11.40, saya singgah di Alfamart di Jalan Pase, Kota Lhokseumawe, Aceh. Anak saya minta jajan dan sekalian saya beli susu. Total belanja Rp87.300 dan saya membayar dengan Qris BCA.

Ketika mau mengambil barang belanjaan, kasir bilang uangnya belum masuk. Saya lalu memperlihatkan transaksi mutasi rekening. Kebetulan, baru satu kali transaksi. Saya perlihatkan bukti mutasi dengan versi screenshot dan pdf, tapi keduanya tidak bisa menjadi bukti, kata kasir itu.

Dia kemudian memanggil rekannya. Saya jelaskan biasanya juga seperti ini sudah selesai. Tapi ini sangat berbelit dan membuang banyak waktu. Saya yang sedang buru-buru menjadi kesal dan kalau memang tidak bisa, pembelian dibatalkan saja dan uang saya Rp87.300 dikembalikan.

“Tidak bisa seperti itu, Pak,” sahut pelayan itu.

“Kalau tidak bisa, ayo kita ke BCA untuk melihat bukti transaksi yang lebih detail. Ke kantor polisi juga boleh,” sahut saya setengah bercanda. Kebetulan, di seberang ada Polsek Banda Sakti dan kapolseknya kawan saya. Kalau ke kantor BCA pun, tidak bisa dilayani di Aceh karena saya pegang BCA konvensional sementara di Aceh adalah BCA syariah. Ini juga kesulitan lain tinggal di Aceh yang menolak keberadaan bank konvensional.

Kasir itu tetap ngotot. Dia meminta bukti transaksi menurut dia yang lebih detail. Ini artinya, sama saja dia meragukan bukti transaksi yang saya perlihatkan. Ini bodoh dank eras kepala. Mana ada bukti transaksi seperti yang kasir itu inginkan. Saya sampai jelaskan QR itu artinya Qris,dan ada tulisan Alfa dalam nomor transaksi QR 835 00000.00ALFA_W662.

Setelah saya marah-marah, akhirnya barang tersebut diserahkan, tetapi dia tidak memberikan struk belanja. Kasir itu sempat gantian marah karena saya ambil dokumen video dan foto. Dia mengancam saya bisa menggugat kalau ambil foto tanpa izin. Sebagai wartawan dan dosen yang mengajar jurnalistik (juga komunikasi bisnis karena latar belakang pendidikan saya ekonomi), saya sangat paham tetang itu sehingga saya persilakan dia membuat laporan ke kepolisian. Saya malah senang sekali kalau kasir itu mau menggugat ke pengadilan.

Seperti apa sebenarnya mekanisme di Alfamart untuk memastikan transaksi dengan Qris sudah berhasil atau belum? Mohon penjelasannya.

Saya yakin, sistem di Alfamart sudah bagus, demikian juga dengan standar pelayanannya. Buktinya, pembayaran dengan Qris BCA sudah saya lakukan ribuan kali di Alfamart dan minimarket lainnya di berbagai kota. Tapi baru kali ada masalah seperti ini.

Perdebatan saya mengundang perhatian beberapa pengunjung dan itu tidak baik untuk Alfamart. Sikap kasir itu yang main ancam juga sangat tidak ramah dalam menghadapi pelanggan yang kritis seperti saya.

Jadi, Alfamart harus mengingatkan kasir dan pelayannya agar tidak ditinggalkan pelanggan. Terima kasih.[]
