Charming Boungenville

Bougenville is known as a paper flower in Indonesia and is one of the most well-known flowers. Bougenville flowers are easily found in the yard in Indonesia. The flowers are not only red as shown in the picture, but there are also white, yellow, and pink flowers.

This flower is liked because it is easy to care for it. It can grow in the yard without the need for special care. The colorful flowers are also used as herbal drinks in Indonesia.

According to some references, the English name of this flower is bougainvillea which is taken from the name of Sir Louis Antoine de Bougainville, a French naval soldier. Notable types of paper flowers include Bougainvillea 'Elizabeth Angus', Bougainvillea 'Red', Bougainvillea Pultonii, Bougainvillea 'Easter Parade', and Bougainvillea 'Lady Mary Baring'.
