"The Ward" by John Carpenter | 2010

One day John Carpenter impressed and very pleased me with his very life-affirming film, featuring Sheryl Lee and James Woods, which was called "Vampires". And accordingly I was expecting a lot more from his next film "Chamber". The film was quite terrible, the usual horror film about how girls in a psychiatric hospital be saved from the Ghost of the former companions from which they once were in a hurry to get rid of. But heartless doctors and orderlies do not want to help, but only poison them with drugs or torture.

From the bad horror film is distinguished by two things, it is the personality of the Director, because of which, and this is the second reason, I want to watch the film, waiting for that, the work of the master will appear in the case, and we will see the inimitability and style of a true master. But this does not happen, even though the film is made very high quality.

Respect for John Carpenter will not be less, he will always be respected and highly appreciated by me, but for the brothers of writers who definitely did not try and did not come up with any new move, inviting to the main roles of Actresses whose faces are simply not remembered, it is difficult to choose kind words.
