The Creative THREE, SEVEN, THIRTY Approach | D.Vlog EP. 59

in #dtubedaily8 years ago (edited)

The simple act of creating every day has changed my life...

Not just once - numerous times.

Thus, I'm a strong proponent of taking action DAILY, focusing on the PROCESS, and committing to the craft and personal DEVELOPMENT that transpires.

This approach, in my experience, has changed everything for me.

In this video I share my "3, 7, 30" approach for inspiring legitimate daily action as a creator.

Yesterday's Vlog...

In this video I share the video montage that I edited which depicts a variety of radically new ways in which robots are changing the game in the entertainment industry.

Dat 7-29 struggle tho! Creating habits is hard work but always worth it when you're working toward something that you are really passionate about. And I think that while it feels good to succeed at forming a new habit, I have at times learned more about myself from failing at creating a habit and evaluating why. Why did I want to form the habit? Was it something that I really wanted? I had a habit of pulling myself in a lot of directions because I didn't want to lose out on experiences but it translated into stunting growth across all goals. By finding the few things I really care about and working on those goals, I have given myself back the time and effort that was spread too thin before.

That man-made river area looked so inviting to enjoy; one area I still let myself go crazy with variety is in workouts and swimming has not been involved for a long time. No plans on getting into outdoor water, as the dairyland is not yet thawed out....and even then! Haha

Ah I'm really digging this comment @thedreamsteem! You're so right and I can most definitely relate here. Half of the battle is understanding what habits mean to you and why you choose to do them. It really does come down to the questions - "what do I really care about? what do I love to do? what would be most beneficial for my life?" When you figure those things out it becomes a lot easier to develop the habits that really do stick. That's what creativity was for me ;-)

If you ever come to Austin, definitely check out barton springs! What dairyland are you referring to? I'm from the wisconsin dairyland so just wondering!

You are spot on about those important questions, and having the courage to choose to live your life for yourself and not letting others warp those goals or discourage you from pursuing them...it requires ongoing dedication!

Well, THE dairyland, Wisconsin! Haha I'm a relatively recent transplant to the South West part of the state...just finished my third winter here and have been notified that I haven't known a "true Wisconsin winter" yet...if that's true I'm not sure if I care to stick around until I do! Maybe I can just become a "snowbird"

Awesome tips bro, I create content on the daily for 6 months already.
Still learning and trying to improve everyday!

What about Chiang Mai, You think you'll come here ?

That's amazing @veganroma! I love your vlogs man. Always interesting content and I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into what you're doing over there.

I'm looking into it! Would be amazing to at least travel there. It'd likely be sometime next year. How long do you plan to live out there?

Thanks man!
I'm planning to stay here as much as i can, Chiang Mai is like a second home for me.
So probably if you'll come next year, i'd still be here!

Dope! Well I well most certainly be reaching out if I find myself there. Looks and sounds like life is good over there man - so great to hear!

Yeah it's really good here, Just the pollution at the moment is bad.
Make sure not to come between Feb-April, That's when the pollution is high.
If you have some other questions about whatever, You can contact me on discord any time bro.
I'd like to help!

That’s a great strategy for those who want to get in the groove :)

It works for me! Thank you @dlife :)

That place looks really nice just to be and relaxing... for sure not the morning... cause i am not a morning guy. but it looks great. :D

You are the man and no one can stop You now!

@sergiomendes so my buddy always comes here in the morning and I was always like "wtf why do you do that?" Then I tried going in the morning and although the first 3 minutes in the water is cold as f*ckkkk it's truly blissful for the rest of the time. You feel amazing afterward and for the rest of the day ;-)

Thank you for your help. You're great.

Yes, you SAID it - everyone's creative. It is human nature to express ourselves in a way, and it is human nature to employ creativity - for example, just finding a practical solution to a problem.
This platform encourages that.
Thanks for sharing your approach how to get into that creative flow, the key is consistency. :)

Mini-goals!!! This is how I get myself motivated when motivation is seriously lacking. If it's a really hard day I set goals so tiny they are almost impossible to fail at e.g. get out of bed, make food haha It's always much easier to digest a large initiative when it gets broken up into smaller more manageable pieces. Great advice brother :)
