Are Motorcycles Dangerous?

Barry , who is a Mechanic mostly doing Bikes had this Machine there, it looks like the front of the frame was cut off with an angle grinder.
Barry is a Member of the Hell Razors Bike Club on the East Rand and this Bike was sent to him by one of the Coastal Club Members to see what he could do with it!
Barry is also about to become My Favourite Son-in-Law as on the 19th of this Month he is marrying My Favourite Daughter, Shakira!
This Machine is a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 , or should I say was?
Ever since they came on the market they have been one of the Fastest Bikes Around,
They easily exceed 300KPH!
The Rider was going up a Mountain pass fairly fast when on a Bend his Front Wheel hit a pile of Cement Powder ,obviously dropped from a truck .
No traction Down he goes sliding towards a Car!
Luckily he had the presence of Mind to kick himself off and away , while the Bike slid into a car.
Rider got away with only cuts and scratches on his one leg!
They are tremendously powerful with a fairly long Wheelbase , making them stable at high speeds.
Maybe not so great on a tight Race Track but very good for Drag Racing!

I also ride Motor bikes! But I am trying to do it wisely! If mistake happens, it might be hard to recover! A very good lesson you shared to the community!

Over time I have seen many motorcycle accident. Never have I seen anyone come out alive. So I would say it is extremely dangerous.
Here are some stats
if you take a motorcar vs motorcycle accidents on ever km ride you are 35 times more likely to have an accident.
Motorcycle deaths account of 13% more that motorcars.
yes indeed sad, seeing that bike in pieces, but glad the guy is OK.
in my opinion motorcycles are dangerous in the wrong hands, depends who's driving, like me, don't trust myself with it. Will leave it to people who can.

Motorcyle are apart of life excitement but it is too dangerous.
My best friend become a victim of serious accident and died at his very young age he is the only son of his parents.God Bless him..

Riding a Motorcycle is Wonderful, but there are so many small things that can bring you down out there!
There are really various things which can bring a motorcyclist down, I really agree upon your saying. Even a pebble can bring a fast motorcyclist down.
It's inevitable really - you're balanced on two wheels with no protection other than a helmet, gloves, boots and leathers (which I'm sure you don't wear) going 300 mph. The law of averages says one dizzy spell or blown tire and your eyes are transplanted into another man's head. It's a fool's game with the only reward being the adrenalin high that comes from risking everything. I'd stay with women - they're equally dangerous but will only slowly wear you down unless you're foolish enough to marry one with martial arts training, in which case, I have no sympathy for you, lol
Yah ,the same thing our parents keep saying drive slow and use helmets,that is all they want us to do .That is all for our own safety purpose and as usual we never hear any word from them ...and this is what happens....
