Hey Steemians!!

If you're reading this. You must know how awesome the Steem blockchain and platforms like Steemit, Dtube, Utopian.io actually are. New as the platform is, Steem has proven to be wildly successful as a platform that does what it set out to do. Decentralizing and Tokenizing the Social Media. If you are the type who wants to "make a living off the internet", Why arent you on Steem already!

But, Did you know that, like Steem, There are a few projects out there that allows you to make some spare change using the Blockchain technology?

Yeah!!

Preface: Now, there are many other platforms out there that I'm paying close attention to than just this 3. But these 3 are what works. I guess I'll not talk about upcoming projects that has no products yet to make this post unbiased to my title.

Here are 3 other platforms you can do the same thing!

1. Earn.com

picture from earn.com promotional material

This has an interesting story. Earn.com (originally 21.co, named after 21 million - the theorethical bitcoin hard cap) was founded by Balaji S. Srinivasan, pretty much a rockstar in the crypto-venture space. Who envisioned a world where everyone can earn Bitcoin by completing microtasks, like reading emails or answering surveys.

The idea behind the platform is that basically one can pay another person to open an email. Note the word "open". Because the money is untouched should the recipient treat it as spam. Makes senders really think twice before mass-sending messages eh.

What that means is your email address (specifically, your earn.com email address) becomes a real estate per your real world reputation! You can set the price of your "email time worth" by allowing people to only pay you a certain amoutnt if they want to email you. And people can pay you in Bitcoin to open a mail they send to you!

And of course I put this as number 1 because IT WORKS! If you wanna look at my profile (or send me a mail I will DEFINITELY read), go ahead to earn.com/kristiankho to do it!

Fun Fact: Marc Andreeseen, (YES!! THAT Marc Andreeseen!!!!!) sets his inbox at $100 so you can literally reach him like right now. Though this amount is donated to a charity, which is an option in earn.com too!

2. Sola

Image from Sola Foundation promotional material

This is something that shows huge potential in terms of it's idea.

"Sola doesn’t use the concept of following. It spreads information like a viral disease to the most interested users, applying AI algorithms combined with users reactions. Quality content can easily reach the whole Sola user base. Users post news, stories and entertainment cards, Sola takes care of the rest."

-- from their website.

From an interview with a news post, the creator of the platform explains the rationale behind Sola:

“There are many people on different social media websites who have thousands of followers and they are ruling the platforms, leaving newcomers or smaller users often unnoticed. Sola gives everybody the ability to reach large audiences. Everyone can see each other’s posts and the only thing that matters is the quality of the content. If the user’s content is great, it is most likely endorsed by others, and will create more revenue.”

Basically it means every post you made in there is fully dependent on the virality and quality of the content. Imagine Dmania but with AI algorithm and no whales. How much you make is dependent how viral your post becomes. It is still a work in progress. The site works but the developers has promised HUGE upgrades and features in the coming months.

Wanna challenge who viral you can get? try this.

So this is who it looks like in the Web App, pretty boring but there is no bug so far

3. Wildspark(Synereo)

Image from Synereo promotional material

So Synereo's tagline is "Publish Anywhere, Monetize with Synereo". That sounds interesting! After a shallow dive into the platform and whitepapar, I think I get their drift.

Wildspark is the first app they release to get things going. It is meant to be an extension (currently only working on Chrome) that works when one goes to a Social Media (imagine using Wildspark for a Dtube video...) where people can tip authors and curators for the content they create/curate. Kinda like a 3rd party tipping system.

So it's not exactly a platform, as they don't host any content. But rather a mechanism for tipping. I say tipping because, well... They money comes out of your own pocket. So Steem is definitely more superior in that regards. Cognitive Cost Hindrance might be a huge hindrance to mass-adoption in the future for Synereo. But hey, works great for content creators!!

So Wildspark currently supports only Youtube, Medium, and Imgur. So it's one way content creators can make some crypto without jumping to literally to Dtube, Steemit and Dmania.

So there you have it!!!

3 platforms you can literally sign up right now and earn em coins!!! Steem has released that pandora's box of tokenized/decentralized Social Media when Steemit.com was released. This is what Social Media is going towards guys. This is how content will be handled. No need for big centralized Data Mining sites like Fakebook and BooTube. No need for middleman like publishing houses or music agencies. And all with The Steem Blockchain leading the way.

"Even if you don't make big bucks on Steem today, you're all already winners in the history of Decentralized Social Media" --@awesomianist

oh wow.. thanks for sharing

Thanks for reading and liking it!

I think it is quite intresting and pretty to see many new players in the field. The blockchain business is booming and makes it quite possible to make a living on the bed, in the kitchen, in restaurant, clubs, travel, etc. Will consider earn.com for opening an aacount. may be I too can do something!!!!!!!

It's bound to happen! Its the way forward afterall. And yes, i can safely say even these platforms are early in the long run. Decentralized Tokenized Social Media where people are paid to use will be the future.

I agree. The decentralized tokenised blockchain is the future. the old fashioned sucking social networking sites have had enough unilateral profit making now. let the innovation rule now.

FYI, I've been waiting 3 days to get verified on earn.com. I spent a lot of time and I've done everything they've asked. I think you should do a follow up post and tell everyone earn.com is a scam, so that your followers are not mislead. And Sola.ai is a complete joke. I won't even bother trying the third one. Try harder to live up to that 61 Rep Score. K? You're not doing anyone any good recommending these shitty platforms just because they are crypto related.

I am sharing only what i know and what i'm keeping tabs on. these are my own personal opinions. If you know of any platforms that's better than these you are free to share.

Also most likely you failed their verification process so that is in no way my fault. It might be because you don't have a LinkedIn account like what you've said in your last comment.

Also, that ad hominem attack is NOT COOL.

I got a linkedin now. Still not verified. Ad Hominems DO work. Its just a myth that they are fallacies. If you have studies that prove otherwise, please share.

Check out page 560 and page 561. It's a perspective towards how ad hominem attacks can be counterproductive. The area highlighted in the piece above is with regards to the problems with scholarly peer review. Let me know if you have problems opening the link.

In not interested in your abstract philisophies, i care about the real world. Earn.com is a scam. Sola.ai is a scam. Maybe you should worry about real people instead crying about an ad hominem.

@thundercomic is most likely a 12 year old boy still experimenting the values of online decency and web etiquette. No need to take mind of what he says.

If you have studies that prove otherwise, please share.

In not interested in your abstract philisophies

Yep, i dont think he's any older than 14.

Awesome, thanks for sharing!

I've signed up for Sola and Earn.com. Earn.com is an excellent site. I love it so much. Sola is pretty good too. I hate how well generic content does on the platform. I'll be signing up for Wildspark. I haven't heard of it. Thanks for sharing!

Generic content? ooo i like to know what do you mean by "generic content". Im actaully still learning my way around Sola and figuring out what post does best and how we can get on top of it..

this is a cool list. I am currently testing Earn and it is ok. I got board with sola because it wasn't fluid on my phone. It sounds like you've saved me time with Wildspark. I think that is doomed if you have to tip with your own money lol

As of today we still get 10 AMP (synereo's currency) when we sign up for an account. But yes, tipping from one's wallet for a content is a problem that's been solved with Steem. So why Synereo is doing what they do is beyond me.

Had to sign up on Linkedin before I can get going on Earn.com. Working on getting my network up to 50 so they will actually verify me. Really hope this all isnt a waste of time.

Earn.com is a sort of website where you can "monetize" your reputation. People should need a reason to send you a mail in the first place.

Not garuanteeing you can make a living off it though.

Nobody emails me. In America nobody emails anymore except spammers. I was hoping I could do surveys for money. Sola has been around for a few years and 1 sol still = 0.0002. You want my recommendation? Stack EOS and wait for some higher quality websites and social networks to emerge that will blow these away.

EOS is DEFINITELY something im watching closely. I see myself more as a budding content creator, I don't mind cross-posting my content on different platforms if that benefits me.

Still a platform is just a platform. Its really up to the creators themselves to determine how they create value and how they can monetize their value. Even in a platform where no money is paid the platforms, people can make a living off it and call themselves a YouTuber.

Congratulations! Your post has been selected as a daily Steemit truffle! It is listed on rank 4 of all contributions awarded today. You can find the TOP DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS HERE.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 57 SBD worth and should receive 124 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

I am a current user of Earn and the platform works in an incredible way without consuming much of your time and effort. Just hearing about Sola, so I gotta check them out. Thanks for this post
