DEVELOPMENT

‘DEVELOPMENT’. We often hear this word from polititians, bankers, CEOs of big multinational companies. So we have connected this word to Financial development, Infrastructure development and on top of that development of National GDP. Development is a wise word where we have forget to associate it with many other things. Initially we can associate Development to our self. Where we can catagorise that into Two parts.

INNER DEVELOPMENT – Body, Mind, Intellect, Spirit
OUTER DEVELOPMENT – Family, Society, Nation (GDP is not considered), Environment

When we associate Development to National GDP we start destroying our happiness because we work and work and work. GDP means market value of produced, sold and purchased goods or services in the country. Where per capita consumption is increased and many of the goods and services are really unnecessary. That doesn’t help us to grow, it just help few people like politicians, bankers and top management in MNCs. We actually help them to become richer and richer. For that, we destroy our environment everyday. We destroy our peace. And we destoy our own development for their economic development.

Just a fact to think. Bhutan is the only country in the world who doesn’t give an importance to National GDP. But they focus more on National Happiness Index. Where people are living with highest standard of lifestyle with zero stress and unlimited happiness.
