Harvesting Carrots

Last summer our congregation planned a group tour to Manila to visit the Philippines Branch Office of Jehovah's Witnesses. One of our itineraries was to go to Baguio. Unplanned trip to Atoc, Benguet, the highest point of Philippine Highway System, led us to a friend's vegetable farm.

If I remember it right, these are cabbages. They don't look much like the round ones we see in the market. But when they are ready for harvesting, they turn into a ball-like shape. If you could zoom in this photo, you'll also see vegetable terraces in the background.

There we experienced harvesting carrots.

It was fun pulling them out from the soil just so easily. I love that job! The weather was just so perfectly cold. Unlike in our place, you'll be burned by the scorching sun when you do farming. I can be their harvester anytime. Haha!

Can't wait to see the fulfillment of Jehovah's promise of everlasting life in Paradise on earth. 

They will build houses and live in them, And they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. They will not build for someone else to inhabit, Nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full. - Isaiah 65:21,22.
