Just another day in the crypto world..
Ethereum hit past $126 (EDIT, now it went up to $129!) on Poloniex at the time of this post. I knew it would do well. That's why I bought in at $88-89 with a test purchase through Coinbase. Now unfortunately due to Coinbase's limits, I was forced to go to Poloniex and purchase a big order through there. As a newbie trader though, little did I know that BTC/ETH and ETH/USDT would be so wildly off.
I performed a newbie mistake and bought some ETH in a high even though the real price of Ethereum was in a low. I finally sold today for a whopping profit of.... 18 pennies. I'll admit, it was my mistake and an incredible one at that. But thankfully TWO mistakes piled on top of one another still resulted in me being in the green and never losing a trade (yet). Hope for the best but expect the worst.
What's the second mistake, you may ask? Well thankfully I made a profit of 18 pennies because I forgot to add in after like 30 minutes of calculating multiple times the FINAL .15% fee. Oh well.
I decided to sell because I honestly needed the 1.8 BTC to move around with. Thankfully Bitcoin reached some amazing prices and I made a fair amount of money through selling ;)
Now... let's go back to the first Ethereum test purchase I made. That I did normally, when it was in the low. What happened to that? Can I sell it now? Nope.
It's stuck on a wallet that few people have heard of. I decided to go with it because it seemed more secure than the others (at least due to the reviews). Too bad that the dev realized there's few macOS users. Thankfully I do believe after getting in contact with the developer that there'll be a fix soon, but hey.. that's fun.
Okay, but seriously. At the end of the day, there will be good ones and there will be bad ones, and we have to all realize that. If you're trading with stress, you'll fail. If you're trading with money that you can't afford to lose, you'll fail. If you get too greedy, you'll fail. Don't keep all your eggs in the same basket. Be smart and play it safe. Oh, and do your meth for breakfast.
To all of us it happened, what happened to you my friend. Sometimes we need the money and against that, we can do nothing. What do you think are the coins to which we have to pay attention in the future, apart from steem obviously,
Learned through experience. Now I just watch them as I hold.
avi if you had to take a guess at another coin to invest in what would your advice be? I invested some in ripple a tiny in steem and im looking for aleast two more things to buy in at the moment. Stellar lumens seems eh? what do you think . Luv the channel
