My TWO HOMELESS (Cat) FRIENDS Stopping By...
Mr. Reddy and Blacky are two friends that I have been helping out for about five years. They come and go daily, sometimes hanging out in my backyard or porch for hours at a time; sometimes just to say a quick hello and 'eat'...
This is an unusual shot of them sitting close to each other because they at 'best' just seem to tolerate each other...When one starts to growl at the other, I talk them out of fighting by sweet talking to them.
Mr. Reddy and Blacky show up with injuries that they never let me help them with; it saddens me. You might be able to tell in the pictures that Blacky's right lower eye lid is scratched, but you can't see the injury to the back of his left ear. Mr. Reddy's face is scratched again, and you can see that little bite injury on his neck, but you can't see the 'big' bite further back on his neck...
One day they may trust my touch enough to allow me to help them, but as it is now, I can only sneak medicine into their food or squeeze flea medication to their shoulder blades in Spring and Summer.
Hope you like the picture. I've noticed a lot of negative comments about 'Cat' posts by I guess non-cat loving people, but as far as I'm concerned...I like my cat friends a lot better than my people friends...
Have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.

Blacky looks like the male version of Gem. When I was a kid there were a lot of wild cats in the neighborhood. There was one that we would feed that we named One Ear because one of his ears was partially torn off.
I thought that Gem and Blacky looked alike, but wasn't sure from photos. Blacky's right ear looks torn or clipped because he injured it last year in a fight or something. It curled back during the healing process. His left eye looks like he's getting a cataract. I've got a cute short video of him sleeping in a flower pot on my back porch that I will be posting in the future; I think you'll like it. Regards
His right ear looks pretty normal but yeah his left eye looks like it's getting a cataract. I'll look out for the video.
Poor guys...Hope Blacky doesn't go blind. Regards @angryman
Phoenician cargo ships are thought to have brought the first domesticated cats to Europe in about 900 BC.
I know...thanks for the reminder @averageoutsider Have a purr-fectly feline day.
The normal body temperature of a cat is between 100.5 ° and 102.5 °F. A cat is sick if its temperature goes below 100 ° or above 103 °F.
Cats step with both left legs, then both right legs when they walk or run.
