$230 Billion dollars are traded every day on average in the stock market. During highly speculated markets this number grows exponentially.

NASDAQ volume 4,371.635,521. Block volume 974,084,770

NYSE 4,300,000,000 on average volume.

There are currently 13 Stock Exchanges, approximately 42 ATS Venues OTC, and other ECNs etc.

Crypto Currency IF data is correct, and I do not have confirmation:

There are now 5392 crypto currencies, mostly very small. The top 2 are Bitcoin and Ethereum. The rest are tiny by comparison. Most IPOs are larger, even the smallest IPO.

Bitcoin, the largest crypto currency trades about $57 billion a day at this time. This is up from its normal average due to the extreme speculation of bitcoin in recent months.

This is not a normal comparison. First Bitcoin is in a bubble and the Stock Market is in a moderately trending slower paced market. AND I do not have reliable data for all the other various crypto currencies.

But all things considered, it appears from the data available, that the Stock Market is decidedly volume wise and dollar wise significantly larger than the cryptocurrency market.
