Huge Grizzly Bear in the Backyard!

We live out here in the Mountain country, so It is no surprise to see a few creatures wondering about!

Grizzly bears, are also known as the silvertip bear because of the coloring of their hair at the tips! this is one of the largest subspecies of brown bear in North America. Scientists that typically study these bears generally don't call them grizzly bear but call it the North American brown bear.

Brown bears can be found in Asia, Europe, and North America, giving them the widest ranges of bear species. They also inhabited North Africa and the Middle East.

In the Lower 48 states of the U.S (Where I Live), There are only about 1,500 of them left so this is a very rare site! It is summer time and this big fellow must have came down from the front range here in colorado to feed for the summer! Wish we had a better camera for this moment but these are still very cool pictures I thought to share with you all!
