Greatness

Greatness isn’t always simple, nor is it always fun. It’s decided the moment you decide that nothing else can be true. The moment when you let go of the reality you once knew and embrace the fact that nothing but your vision should or could be the reality. It’s where you cling so tightly to your dream that it becomes you. You have to understand the people want love, but they don’t know that they need to love themselves. They want recognition, but they don’t know they need to do things better. They want profit but don’t realize that requires creating value. Although they are simple things, they are often neglected.

Nothing great came from one's thoughts alone. Only actions can define your life. To think great thoughts, that’s one thing. But to do great things, that takes a great great deal of effort. Your old self isn’t you. It’s just sitting in between you and who you want to be. You might not need to kill your old self, but you definitely would do well to bid them farewell, if you know that the association is lacking in productivity.
