Mischief Unbound Special Research & Hoopa Unbound

In the previous blog post, everyone who finished the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research gets the Mischief Unbound Special Research. Those who finished it could also buy a ticket for the Mischief Unbound Special Research a second time. Those who didn't complete Misunderstood Mischief could also buy it to unlock Misunderstood Mischief.

I didn't buy the ticket because I didn't find the need to get Misunderstood Mischief twice.

In this blog post I will share the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research story and tasks, followed by how to change Hoopa Confined into Hoopa Unbound.

For the first part you need to take a snapshot of Hoopa, this is why you need to complete enough steps in Misunderstood Mischief to catch Hoopa before you can progress with this Special Research. The tasks are quite fast to do.

In this part the quests take a bit longer today mostly because you have to complete 10 Field Research tasks. It means you need to have several PokéStops in order to get enough tasks. Several of the ones I completed were those for Squirtle with sunglasses encounters. But a few others too to complete it faster.

The last part was quite fast too if you participated in the Raid Hours from this short event. I did a few Regice Raids for that one as it's the one from the Regi-trio that I preferred the most.

Hoopa Unbound

To change Hoopa Confined into Hoopa Unbound is quite easy. It does require 10,000 Stardust and 50 Hoopa Candy. Which you received from the Mischief Unbound Special Research.

Once you have these, you go to your Hoopa and click on the "Change Form" button below "Power Up". This brings up the Form selection menu, which only contains Hoopa Unbound. Shown with a dark silhouette as it isn't in the Pokédex yet.

Then you're asked for confirmation to change Hoopa from Hoopa Confined into Hoopa Unbound. Once you confirm, it changes.

As you can see in the photo above, Hoopa goes up quite an amount of CP when changed to Hoopa Unbound. I still have the same Hoopa Candy after the Form change because the first screenshot was taken before I completed the Special Research.

In the Pokédex the number for Hoopa caught goes up to two after you change its Form. However the Form doesn't seem to appear on Hoopa's Pokédex page.

I might start putting Rare Candy that I get into Hoopa and power it up, will have to see though.
