Let's get Bullish on Stellar

As we recover from the dreaded "Crypto Crash", I've been keeping track of potential coins that could resurrect the life in the crypto community -- namely, the best replacement cryptocurrency for Bitcoin (since I along with others believe that Bitcoin should NOT be the consumer-friendly instant-payments coin at the top).

We're familiar with Bitcoin -- the first major cryptocurrency, and in the beginning it was great -- low fees, quick transaction time (though the network only supported 7 transactions per second), and it worked well that way.

After a while Litecoin picked up on the issues of Bitcoin: 4x the amount of coins (we have a BIG population, 21 million coins can't really cut it), faster transactions and a far more acceptable transaction fee.

Of course we have other coins that can be used as a currency since they have value in the markets, as well as currency coins that fill specific features such as privacy (Monero, ZCash), usability for dApps (Ethereum, NEO), and various others more for speculation. We've also seen Ripple (dubbed "the central banker coin") which has a really high transaction speed, but goes against the philosophy of decentralization that we need.

It's 2018, and there are a LOT of people. Litecoin and Bitcoin can surely take the Silver and Gold for the crypto world, however since they work the same and have fairly low supplies, they may not be too feasible for day to day use a couple of years from now unless they fix their scaling issues, and if they do, people may be very happy to have 0.05 LTC or 0.0005 BTC (assuming the fees don't cost 75% or so of the latter).

Let's talk about Stellar.

Stellar is a super-fast global payments infrastructure with transactions that complete in seconds and fees so low that average consumers 5 years from now will still be able to make micropayments. Much like Ripple (and created by the same guy), Stellar can be used as a gateway to exchange fiat for fiat, fiat for crypto, and crypto for crypto automatically and within 10 seconds!

This is what I believe cryptocurrency could be for the world, and it already has an enthusiastic community of investors, consumers and business owners using the platform.

• People are talking about it; it's on the cusp of gathering real adoption.
• Their team is traveling all over the world to bring the decentralized, people's banking system to Southeast Asia, Japan, Africa, and many others.
• They're partnered with IBM to create a cross-border payments system so that people can buy anything from anywhere using basically any currency.
• Stellar's logo is literally a rocket. You know when the price begins to blast off, it will be insane.
