I am Kali. I am Tefnut.

How goes it Steemit Community! My name is Kali Johnson, and I am a researcher of history.

This is my first post on Steemit, and I hope it answers some questions and point me to some promising leads.

In this article, I will dive into the etymology, history and mysteries I have accumulated from my research so far in regards to my birth name Kali, so that others named Kali (and everyone else who is interested) will be more aware about the power they harbor within their vibratory essence!

Kali: A name of Devi, the Hindu mother-goddess of Creation and Destruction. From Sanskrit (Language of the Vedas) Kali, literally "The Black One," fem. of kalah "blue-black (referring to skin so black its blue!) a word from a Dravidian language (Tamil may be the Dravidian language, more research is needed). Also taken as the fem. of kala "time" (as destroyer).

Kali is also the name of Shakti (The Kalika Purana depicts her as the "Adi Shakti") and is an incarnation of Parvati, wife of the Hindu god Shiva, also known as Rudra the Howler. Kali is most often represented in art as a fearful fighting figure with a necklace of heads, skirt of arms, lolling tongue, and brandishing a knife dripping with blood. The early uses of Kali was in the Atharva Veda; the Veda for Magic Formulas and the Kathaka Grhya Sutra; a subsidary of the Vedas.

When African settlers (that possibly spoke Tamil) migrated to India, they took their teachings of the deities Shu and Tefnut with them. Those teachings changed drastically when the Aryans came and invaded India. The Aryans are a group of Indo-European Nomads from Central Asia that massively impacted the religion in the North Indian subcontinent and beyond with a powerful collection of literature called "The Vedas". The Vedas is the hymns and religious texts composed in India that was considered to be sacred by the Vedic religion (Or just the Aryans, but more research is needed to be sure). Kali was used in the Atharva Veda, which is known for carrying “Knowledge of the Magic Formulas” named after a group of priests.

Due to this "Aryan Invasion" upon the Brahmin culture:

Shiva is created from Shu, and Kali is created from Tefnut. So now the question is: Who is Tefnut?

Tefnut is the daughter of Ra. She is known to be linked to both the sun and the moon, making her considered the Eyes of Ra. She is the goddess of moisture in the air and the consort of Shu, the god of air. She is one of the Nine Enneads. Legend said that Tefnut left Egypt in a frenzy to go to Nubia after having a argument with Ra. When she left, all of the water left with her; leaving Egypt in a state of destruction until Tehuti and Shu convinced her to return.

Now this is where it gets interesting. I haven't found that much content on it, but I watched a few videos of scholars in Kamit stating that the Sphinx of Giza was made in honor of the goddess Tefnut. Then I learned that the Sphinx was actually the face of a African woman whose name I haven't found. But its said that she was the mother of a pharaoh named King Menes, who is the First King of the First Dynasty of United Egypt, which occurred when the Greeks conquered Kamit, naming it Egypt.

I really appreciate you all taking the time to read my article. Its pretty long for my first post, but its from a deep and unsettling curiosity that I wanted to share with you all and can't wait to hear the replies.

Please share your thoughts, questions, insults, insights and/or compliments!
