Amateur Astronomy 🌌

Hello STEEMIANS!😎

It doesn't matter if we are serious observers of the night sky or just amateurs. We can share our interest with astronomy enthusiasts from around the world.🌎

Amateur astronomy is unlimited. It is a great hobby to learn many interesting things, and at the same time look at our everyday Earth world from a slightly different perspective. We can lie down and admire the beauty of the night sky or delve into its secrets with the help of a telescope. We can photograph the sky, meet at astro rallies or even take part in various types of observation programs helping to obtain useful data for professional astronomers. It can even happen that we discover something. One thing is certain: when we share our passion with other lovers of the sky, we will certainly feel even more satisfaction about it.😎

In many larger cities there are associations of astro amateurs. They are often associated with local research centers or universities. Usually, such groups meet on common observations of the sky, which gives the opportunity to meet more experienced observers of the sky, allows you to get acquainted with various types of telescopes or binoculars. Such an astro meeting is a great opportunity to get advice on what equipment to buy and how to learn how to use it. An active meeting with lovers of the sky will perfectly introduce you to this hobby.🙂

Astro amateurs maintain contacts on many astronomical forums. I recommend signing up for such forums for expert advice and information about meetings and gatherings of local groups. Being an astronomy lover contributes to the development of space exploration. Professional astronomers are, to a certain degree, dependent on the observation of amateur variable stars, new and supernova stars or the tracking of the atmosphere of our closest planets. Astro amateurs can see the cosmos in real time and have the opportunity to learn about something earlier than professionals. They often discover comets and asteroids, and also help in the study of meteoric swarms. Join this group today. Heaven is waiting for you every clear night! 😉

when you say "Astro amateurs can see the cosmos in real time..." you know that's not the truth... they are looking at the past! (I know you know i'm right) ;)
I never focused my attention completely in one thing but Science, Sci-fi and especially astronomy are my biggest passions... :)

I know that we see the universe as a past, but I was thinking of close objects. The moon we watch in real time :)

Almost... still takes a little more than a second for the light to get from the moon to us... so that would be just one second in the past... :)
