Usman bin Artugrul's whole life was a life of struggle. "Jihad fi Sabilillah" and "Dawah Illallah" life. At the last moment of his life, he laid down his deathbed and bequeathed it to his son Orkhan bin Osman. That will is what history has written in gold letters even today. This will highlights the struggling life of Uthman bin Artugrul. Explains what his policy was in running the empire. This will was later considered the constitution of the Ottoman Empire. This is what the Ottoman sultans and caliphs accepted as their way of life.
Uthman's son said to Urkhan-
"O my son, refrain from engaging in any matter which Allah Ta'ala has not commanded. And whenever any problem arises in front of you, consult the ulama '.
My son! You know very well that our real purpose is to please God. Know! Through jihad, the light of our religion will spread towards the world. So the pleasure of Allah will be achieved then.
O my son! We are not like the rulers who wage war just to rule or to exercise authority. We are a nation that lives with Islam and dies with Islam. My son, you can't be like that.
My child, you will honor those who obey you. Will reward the army. Satan will not deceive you with your wealth and army. And do not keep yourself away from wise scholars.
My son, you know that spreading Islam, calling people to Islam and providing security for the lives and property of Muslims is a deposit on your neck. God will hold you accountable for this.
O my son! I am bequeathing to you the scholars of the Ummah. Always keep track of them. Their advice will take over the head. Because they do not order anything but welfare.
My son! I will meet Allah soon. I am proud of you, you will be a just ruler for the people. He will play the role of a mujahid to propagate the religion of Allah.
O my son! There is no one in the world who does not bow down before death. By the will of God, my worldly life has come to an end. In this kingdom I am going to hawla you. And I am praying to Allah in this regard. He will do everything with justice. "
