Betterlife - The Diary Game | 16th June 2024 | A Special Day Before Eid-ul-Adha

I trust that everyone is well and enjoying what is a relatively normal and secure festive season. Today was quite ordinary but good; I did not do anything big, but I was excited the whole day hoping for something extraordinary to happen. This was the day before Eid-ul-Adha.

The day was busy for me; I woke up early and got dressed, as I had to head back to Dhaka since I had been in Cumilla visiting my mother as she was a little bit sick. My husband has already come to Dhaka from Jashore to celebrate Eid with us. Because everyone had vacated their residential areas and gone to their villages to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, the roads were relatively free from traffic. I started my journey at 6 AM in the morning by leaving Cumilla and within a few hours, it was 8 AM in Dhaka.

On arriving home, I washed and changed clothes before preparing for breakfast and proceeded to have a well-deserved rest by having a nap. I later woke up feeling well and fresh and had a cup of tea which made me feel relaxed.

My husband and I along with our baby went out for a little stroll in the afternoon today, as it was a sunny day. We want to express our joy and satisfaction with the outcome of our work, especially our baby, who enjoys going out.

I had a relaxing time playing My Baby for a while and we had some of the scrumptious food and drink.

While wandering around, we came across a Mehndi happening inside the restaurants. This colorful event, was created and was on behalf of, a group of spirited young ladies. We had observed the beautiful designs being made in henna decorate the skin and this gave the function a festive look.

Subsequently, we visited a shopping mall, engaged in retail therapy resulting in a delightful and unforgettable excursion.

Once the day concluded, we went back to our home, and later that night, we went to my in-law's house to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha. I prepared chicken korma and polao during the late hours of the night at my in-laws' residence.

The day was not remarkable in its bearing or events or anything out of the ordinary, which happened on it; yet it was a special day indeed. This is how I spent today, Alhamdulillah and it was an ideal way to prepare for the wonderful celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.
