Septic tank is a place to accommodate waste generated from human waste. septic tank serves to accommodate the waste from humans ie feces and urine that has a bad odor.

My septic tank is made of cement mixed with sand placed outside the house and is usually planted in the ground and above it is made a hole so it will not explode.
Function of the hole above the septic tank is to avoid the explosion caused by methane gas produced from human waste.
