Stripe to ditch Bitcoin payment support
Bitcoin has had such a great opportunity to do great things but has yet failed in the transaction and "working" portion of the crypto world. So instead of it becoming something to use via peer to peer transactions it is now a coin to keep, much like gold or silver in the investment sector. I currently find myself a little anti-bitcoin, just my opinion though. This is just the start, and the future seems so exciting.
We do however need to thank bitcoin and it's dev's for leading the way into the decentralization of currency.
FIAT is quickly becoming archaic and the time has come to take the power and pricing of currency away from the banks and government
Why is this important?
Stripe has some 100,000 clients - businesses - that it accepts bitcoin payments for. But, not as of this coming April. Stripe is getting out of the bitcoin-processing business.
Those 100,000 businesses that currently use Stripe to process bitcoin payments are either going to have to find some other similar service, or, just stop taking bitcoin payments.
According to Stripe, though, this may not be much of a problem. It's already been losing it's client businesses. Bitcoin has proven to be too volatile and too expensive to use as a means of making a payment. Bitcoin fees are often higher than simply wiring someone a payment
Ughhhhhh I love stripe this is a big bummer they are doing this :( PS - I like your ending JIF how did you create this?
how do you feel about bitcoin being banned in some countries?
i feel relax every time :) cause i have no bitcoin . :D :D
haha you are so cute
bitcoin transaction will become less costly in future so if you have time to wait for transaction than bitcoin can be used as currency
if fee down then bitcoin used every where in life .
The information you are providing is good but we have to still believe in the BTC because we know that the developers are working on reducing the transaction fee of BTC which is the only negative point in the whole system of BTC.so its not good to put the BTC into the corner saying that its just An investment its not only the investment its a payment method also.
Good information... Very helpful
Great article. I feel like other currencies are likely to become the standard for smaller p2p payments. Something like DGB comes to mind.
Peace!
