Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 11th July 2024
Hello all,
This is my entry to the "Steem Cameroon Best Day Contest."
So, the best day of this week was 11th July 2024. It was the first undergraduate research symposium of our faculty, Faculty of Technology, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Since this was the first undergraduate research symposium, we conducted it as a joint symposium with the university's applied science faculty.
Our faculty has two departments; there were more than 30 presenters from these two departments. The presentations were held as oral and poster sessions. All the sessions and the presentations were great.
Being a rapporteure
I could contribute to the symposium as a session rapporteure. The rapporteur's duty is to introduce the session chair and give a brief introduction about the session to the audience.
I had to be rapporteur for two sessions, morning and afternoon.
In the morning session, the session chair was Prof. Yutaka Noguchi, and there were 7 presenting students in physical and online sessions. After the session, we all went for lunch, which was arranged at the faculty cafeteria. Then we went to the afternoon session. In the afternoon session, the session chair was Dr. Nalin Liyanawaduge. There were five presenters for the afternoon session, including physical and oral presenters.
After the successful completion of the session, we went for the poster sessions. I was the session coordinator of the Engineering Technology poster session. There were wonderful poster sessions as well with some great presenters. Some of the posters were upto the level of oral presentations.
After the poster session, the awarding ceremony began shortly. The winners of the each session were rewarded at the awarding ceremony. It was a very short session.
After awarding ceremony the dinner function held at the Mount-Field hotel. It was a wonderful evening with a lot of dancing and great drinks. All the staff members and students really enjoyed the session. Finally I left the dinner function at aroun 10.30 pm to leave to home.
So, that is the best day of the last week. So, I hope that all of you enjoyed my post and thank you very much for reading the post and see you all very soon.
Also, I invite @vishwara, @wakeupkitty.pal and @shakeel102 to participate in this contest.
It's a privilege. I salute your resilience and unique effort in carrying on your duty as rapporteur. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much!
