There is some goodness in evil too.
Short Stories with Moral Lessons - At one time, a trader from the city invited Mahatma Buddha for his home meal.
When Mahatma Buddha reached the business house, many people living in the neighborhood of that businessman came to meet Mahatma Buddha. A thief was also among those people and after seeing Mahatma Buddha asked, "Swamiji ... can I wash your feet?"
Prior to Mahatma Buddha's permission, he started washing his feet before he could.
The burials of that thief were very famous in the city. The townspeople called that thief a sinner. When the thief was washing the feet of Mahatma Buddha, then the people who came there thought that the Mahatma Buddha would tell the thief just to move away but it did not happen and the thief washed away the feet of Mahatma Buddha and went quietly from there. .
The trader asked Mahatma Buddha, "Swamiji ... do you know who was that person?"
Mahatma Buddha said, "No .. No, I do not know who was that person? But whatever was there, there was a lot of reverence. "
The businessman said, "That person was a thief. That person hates all the people of the city and I too, because he is a bad thief of this city. He steals people's honestly earned money. "
Mahatma Buddha came to a question from all the people and the businessman who came there.
Mahatma Buddha asked, "You have taken Rs 100 for a moneylender and your friend took a loan of 50 rupees, but the moneylender has forgiven you both, because you both are unable to repay the debtor's debt. Seeing whom the third person standing there would say either of the two, the moneylenders or those borrowers who borrowed money from the moneylenders? "
The trader said, "Swamiji, definitely the moneylender is a good person, who forgave the debt of both of them."
Mahatma Buddha said, "Just as you said good to that moneylender, people also say the same person is good."
Mahatma Buddha went ahead and said, "If all of you assist in showing him the right way instead of hating the thief, then maybe he could become a decent man like you today, but all of you Only the person's evil appeared, none of you ever tried to show him the right path. If all of you were to teach him to do his work in the same way, then perhaps you could change his life because of him. "
