MATURITY MATTERS
Many people think there are some ages at which maturity sets in. Well let me ask that could it be 20? 40? 70? According to the number of books I have read and the experiences some people, I’ve observed that age has little or nothing to do with maturity. I have met so many people who are mature well beyond their years, and I’ve known older folks who act childish, only thinking about themselves meanwhile their ages high enough for them to behave that way. So the question is: WHAT ARE THE CHARACTER SIGNS THAT SHOW MATURITY?

Well, I'm not so much sure that we can be mature in every situation that comes our way because we are always in the learning process as human beings, and I’m much sure that almost all of us have been guilty of at least some of these negative behaviors at least once in our lives. I once read a book about maturity and after that I was able to dot down some signs that shows maturity. You can also adopt it in your doings. These are as follows:
1.You have to understand that you don't know everything.
2.Learn to talk less and and learn more.
3.Accepting the little you have and not complaining.
4.Having forgiveness and compassion for yourself and others.
5.Doing good to other people without anything as a return.
6.Respecting people's view, beliefs, and way of life without judgment, not insisting you are right, degrading another, or using profanity or violence to get your view across.
7.Sharing your good days with others to encourage them.
8.Thinking before acting and having good manners.
9Encouraging and being supportive of others.
10.Being happy in the success of someone else, not envy or criticism.
11.Knowing there is always room for improvement and reaching out for help.**
12.Having humility and laughing at yourself.
13.Standing up for fairness and justice for yourself and others and choosing to do the right thing always.
15.Making sacrifices for the good of others without any bad feelings.
16.Not always running for materialistic items or bragging.

I’m sure there are probably other signs, but this little I know. I know we can always do a better job improving our mature sides. I also know that, by doing so, we encourage other and through that we are set as an example them. The most important thing is seeing the negative side of our behavior and knowing we must do something positive to change it.
I'm intrigued by this part. To be, that's the best way to ensure peace.
Exactly bro it is the best way to maintain peace and stability and our community.
Maturity is never a number.... People are old but still not matured.
And these tips nails... Espcially the first one...
All those who think they know everything usually are not matured and will keep hitting stumbing blocks in life
Nice and educative but I don't think me thinking about myself makes me childish and thinking about others makes me mature.
You don't really understand what I mean. Let's say you are married with children. Buh all that you think about is yourself you don't usually think about the well being of the family but your self only. And believe me there are some people who live with their families that way. Anyway thanks for your comment.
I guess you do know that human beings are selfish by nature
But we learn to overcome it in other to be mature
i agree with u, keep writing
