Facts About Beggars

In India there are 29 states in which 4 lakh peoples are beggars.

It is true that ours is a country of Saints, sages and sadhus; yet the problem of beggars as it exists in our society today is a matter of great shame for everyone.

In india there are many peoples in which some peoples are physically incapable of doing any work. The only way of getting food open to them is begging. Such beggars easily get the sympathy of others. They deserve it also. But some peoples are blind, lame or crippled and so take to begging.

Some peoples who have lost their homes become beggars.

In india child and orphan beggars also are very common. And when they old they are known as sadhus.

Poverty is one of the major causes of begging.
Unemployment and increasing population have also been responsible for the same.
