Delivery problems means some KFC outlets will stay closed throughout a few days, while some have a reduced menu or shortened hrs.
About 50 % the short food chain's 900 outlets in the United kingdom-based division remained as closed on Tuesday night.
Which was less compared to 575 closed by Monday evening.
A week ago the fried chicken chain switched its delivery contract to DHL, that has blamed "operational issues" for that supply disruption.
Earlier, a KFC spokesperson expected the amount of closures to fall within the coming future as teams "work flat-out all hrs to obvious the backlog".
"Every day more deliveries are now being made. However, we predict the disruption with a restaurants to carry on over the rest of the week, meaning many will be closed yet others operating having a reduced menu or shortened hrs."
DHL's md of retail, John Boulter, stated the delivery firm regretted the "interruption of supply" and apologised for that "inconvenience and disappointment caused to KFC as well as their customers".
"The reason why with this unforeseen interruption of the complex service are now being labored up with an objective to go back to normal service levels as quickly as possible," he added.
"We're dedicated to step-by-step enhancements to permit KFC to reopen its stores within the future."
KFC has set up a web page where customers will find their nearest outlet that's open.
What caused the issues?
Until 13 Feb, KFC's chicken was delivered by specialist food distribution group Bidvest.
But following the contract switched to DHL, most of the food giant's outlets started not having enough chicken products.

The GMB union stated it'd cautioned KFC that switching from Bidvest to DHL would be a mistake. The modification brought to 255 job losses and also the closure of the Bidvest depot, stated Mick Rix, GMB national officer.
"Bidvest are specialists - a food distribution firm with experience. DHL are scratching around for just about any work they are able to get, and undercut them," he stated.
"KFC remain with countless restaurants closed while DHL try to run the entire operation from one distribution center. Three days ago, KFC understood they'd designed a terrible mistake, but at that time it had been far too late."
The distribution network uses software produced by the firm Quick Service Logistics (QSL).
DHL stated: "Because of operational issues, numerous deliveries in recent days happen to be incomplete or delayed. We're dealing with our partners, KFC and QSL, to rectify the problem like a priority and apologise for just about any inconvenience."
A KFC spokesperson stated the choice to change supplier was not taken gently.
"DHL have believed that winning the KFC contract and opening the brand new distribution center has produced 300 new jobs," he added.
Just how much could it be prone to cost KFC?
KFC's spokesman stated he was without an amount, but any calculation will probably be complicated because 95% of KFC's outlets within the United kingdom are operated by franchisees.
Some media research indicates the crisis might be costing the chain £1m each day, but such figure will probably be uncertainty.

Personnel are being asked to take holiday, but wouldn't be forced to do this, the organization has stated.
It stated that within the restaurants of the chain, staff on short-term contracts could be compensated the typical hrs labored each day in the last 12 days, while individuals on salaries could be compensated normally.
"Franchisees is going to be seeking their very own independent advice, but we are encouraging these to adopt this insurance policy too," stated the chain.
A KFC worker working in london who contacted the BBC stated he'd not received any shifts within the last week.
"This issue is not our fault, but we are the type who can't work.
"I've got bills that emerge from my account on Friday and that i feel terrible concerning the whole situation. I'm searching for any job," he stated.
