Hah! I see you on every post that I visit. You must be browsing through "new" too. Oh, and nicely put, btw. "Pay your rent" is gonna be my new go to thing.
You know what it is? I remember what it was like to be new and have no engagement. Since I have no classes now, I can hop in and welcome some of the new people. We lose good people due to lack of interaction, so I do what I can do to encourage them to keep going. Steemit's worth it! :)
Good on you! I'm basically new myself. I joined about 6 months ago but wasn't really feeling it. My initial experience was that everyone was just trying to get upvoted so they could get some Steem. It was like reddit, but worse, lol. Then I happened across the site again about a week ago and even though there's still a lot of that here it's also got a lot of really quality posts and some interesting people. Some I'm giving it another go. And yeah, I think that interaction is key. I've slowly been following people who I find to be engaging and community oriented. That's what I'm here for, the other stuff is cool too, but it's not interesting enough to make me want to stick around, lol.
