Introduction

Hello, #Steem

I hope everyone is doing great. This is my attempt to achieve task number 4, trying to create content by applying markdown to my post and explaining what markdowns are and why they are important to me.

Markdown

Markdown is a type of markup language that can be used to format texts, placing videos, images, tables..etc onto a post using simple text editors. Markdown can be a bit hard to adapt for those who relied on newer GUI-based editors, there they simply have to apply styling by selecting the desired tools or by simply selecting a template. But personally, I don't find markdown that hard to use, also it is very lightweight and we could even make a good-looking post using a mobile phone.

Why Is Formating Important?

Formatting is the process of making your content more attractive or maybe making your content easy to understand, this really depends on the type of content. For example, if you were to post about a trip that you had, it would be good to make your post stand out and make it more attractive right? Similarly, if you were to make a post that had a mathematical formula say the area of a circle, and instead of writing πr2 you could have written πr². These are simple reasons why I believe that formatting is very important. Now I'll be making a small post detailing one of my camping experiences in Idukki, Kerala.

Camping At Idukki

Now let me talk about my camping experience and the beautiful views that I got to see in the district of Idukki, Kerala. Idukki is known for its cold climate and tea estates. As a matter of fact, Idukki is known as the spice garden in Kerala. Idukki is also one of the most talked-about tourist destinations in south India, the famous Munnar is located in Idukki.

Location

The spot that we went camping is known as Kanthaloor. Kanthaloor is a farming village located about 50 Km from Munnar town. We reached around 1 pm and went to the place where we would set up our tent. We had to walk about 500mtrs to reach the top of the spot where we camped. The exact location is attached here

Setting up the grill to cook some fish

We grilled some fish after setting up the fire using charcoal, The fish tasted really good also it was getting a bit cold so the fire helped too.

Conclusion

The experience was really good and for anyone planning to visit Kerala, I would recommend that you check out this amazing place and enjoy your wonderful time in Kantaloor. I would like to recommend that you bring some blankets too cause night tends to get quite cold. Now I would like to conclude my small write-up about my recent travel and I hope you guys liked it, I also hope that the markdown applied are okay enough.
