Nowadays it seems like every couple of months a Smartphone manufacturer comes out with their New Fastest Charging Technology, call it DASH charge, DART Charge, or whatever but the Wattages are really going up lately. It went like 5W-10W-20W-30W-50W-80W-100W and now we have 120 Watt Fast Charging available which literally charges a 4000 maH Battery in 20 minutes from Zero to Hundred. It is absolutely crazy and we just can't seem to forget about what this FAST CHARGING is doing to our Smartphone Batteries and for their Longevities.

Even if 120W is a lot there is also a 240 Watt Charger that is in the testing from OPPO which is supposed to Charge your device from Zero to Hundred in just 9 minutes. It sounds really Bonkers right, but the truth is a little different. You see the whole 120W is only available for the first half of the Charging Cycle and when the Battery gets over 50% the Wattage starts to gradually decrease and at the point of Full Charge, the Wattage is just around 20-30 Watts so yeah the Smartphone Companies definitely have the Intention to Preserve your Smartphone Battery.

But that doesn't mean you are all safe as Batteries do Degrade and the Speed of the Degradation is dependent on certain factors one of those important Factors is HEAT and you may guess what causes Heat on a Smartphone. The number one thing that popped in my mind was Charging and then playing Games so indirectly Fast Charging does indeed harm your Battery Health a little but there is also a bunch of other factors at play that help to protect the Battery. For example, different Smartphone Manufacturers have come out with different Cooling Hardware like the VApor Chamber or the Pass-Through Charging, or even a Literal Cooling Fan, and all of these are to make sure that the Heating Issues don't happen which ultimately means Healthier Battery Life.

So Bottom Line is that Fast Charging does Harm your Battery but not to the point that you have to be concerned with it as there are a lot of things placed in your Smartphone to make your Battery Last Longer and Stay Healthier.
