My Weird Experimental Creatures.. Original Art
Hello Steemians,
Its been a while since I posted... I've been busy treading the rat wheel mostly,
but the snippets of time I get to be creative in the shed have been productive of late :D
I wanted to use up the last chunk of old polymer clay... (Super Sculpey Beige)
Before getting started on my main project....
I also wondered if false eyelashes would survive in the oven?
I will let you know when I find out... as this little worm is yet to be refined and baked!!
I have a few experimental little creatures going on at the moment.. if Im honest..
Another thing I'm experimenting with is eyes...
Eyes made from different materials.
The worm has eyes made from some kind of hard plastic.
I think they will burn or melt in the oven along with the hairs..
We will have to wait and see :)
What do you think of this little creature?
Her eyes are made from a polished natural stone bead..
Im assuming this will survive the oven bake... fingers crossed
Lastly I have this chap....
I did intened to make him some traditional legs... but I got to this stage and well..
Im kind of liking him all fingers and no arms :)
What do you think? Refine his body and bake him how he is?

It did not take too long to make.. Maybe just under an hour :)
I'm pretty certain the eyelashes will melt, since they're only made of plastic. Could make for an interesting result! The second one is pretty adorable. The finger legs totally creep me out for some reason but that's also why I love it. Hahahaha

All of the eyes survived the oven bake. The eyelashes i used on the maggot went all curly so i just pulled them out. My partner wanted to keep him so he found a loving home in the end ;)
