I'm tired of Steemit "contests"
Is Steemit a sweepstakes clearing house or a social media platform that doles out crypto? I'm for the later, honestly.
I'm usually trying to find something good to read on Steemit, but it's becoming harder to find actual blog posts when most the platform is used to hold "contests." I put bunny ears around "contests" because there's no regulations or rules enforced in these "contests" and no way to tell if the "award" money goes to pals and buddies of the contest holders. Not to mention the terrible impression it gives newcomers. I'm constantly reassuring friends that not ALL of Steemit is about petty contests and that there REALLY ARE genuine bloggers on Steemit with good content. And I blame the participants more than the contest holders because they're the enablers. Stop trying to gamble on steemit. Instead, work hard and network in a more organic way and the payoff will be much greater.

Nice to find a post like this every now and then, around here.
Too many people don't want to offend because they want the payout too badly. Unfortunately that makes Steemit dull and prone to this type of abuse. I'm working hard to balance the playing field for newcomers (steemax.trade). Making -trades- sounds SO much better then begging for handouts or trying to win it "big".
