The UK's Big Butterfly Count.

I really didn't know this was a thing until I started to research about how to look after peacock caterpillars.

As I was looking up on how to raise peacock caterpillars I came across a website that lets you pop in how many butterflies you have seen while out and about.

There is a list to choose from and when you see one of the ones on your list you just enter the number.

I was filling it in because I had seen loads of our little winged friends and this group want to know how many you have seen and where.

I couldn't help but right in the comment box that I had brought home a clutch of caterpillars and I even asked them for some advice.

There are some things that I need help with and I think this is going to be one of them.

At the end of the count you get a certificate to say that you have taken party in the UK's big count.

Here is mine.

I know it's not much but I think it is a great thing to add to the things I have done in 2019.

If you live in the UK then and see a butterfly then please add this to the count as it will help them work out how many we have left.
