How to make sunset drawing with oil soft pastels!

I am back with another drawing work after having a little break in this wonderful community. I am pretty sure that you all were doing well.
Today I made a drawing of a sunset scene with oil pastels. Here is the Painting itself before I explain further about it.

Oil pastels
An oil pastel is a painting and drawing medium formed into a stick which consists of pigment mixed with a binder mixture of non-drying oil and wax, in contrast to other pastel sticks which are made with a gum or methyl cellulose binder, and in contrast to wax crayons which are made without oil.(wiki)
I came to know about these very recently. Before that I was using crayons for making drawing like these and honestly it was a terrible feeling to work on crayons. But after I used these pastels I felt so good to move forward with it. If you are not a person tried these till now, I suggest you to try it ones because these so cheap afford.
The minimum tools I used
Paper
Masking tape
Pencil
Oil pastels
Ear buds
Black marker pen
Step.1
First I used the masking tape to fix the drawing sheet on a plane board. The intention was to get clean edges for the drawing.
Step.2
Started applying the oil pastels from top to bottom.
Step.3
Completed the first layer of pastel colours with a proper variation in a gradual way to get a sunset time sky appearance.
Step.4
Started applying the second layer of pastels to get a more saturated look.
Step.5
Uses some earbuds and smudge between the colours to get a gradual variation on it.
Step.6
Using a pencil make a sketch for the shadow part in the drawing.
Step.7
With the black marker pen the shadows made strong and finishes the other parts of drawing with care.
