Mushroom family.
Hello friends, I just recently found out about hive.io, someone told me about it. At first I thought oh that’s something like steemit. I tried steemit for about two years with a break here and there, but it didn’t work for me that well. So here I thought, oh well, it’s probably another platform that will die eventually, and started powering down my hives (not super smart move, I know).
Then, today, out of boredom I was like, let me post something on hive. It took me some time to figure out how it works, because I stopped posting in general in fall.
Then next thing I see, people are upvoting!😀
I wasn’t expecting anything to happen really. So, I should agree hive won my heart, and I will start posting again. I’m so excited now to share my paintings and photos.
I want to share a watercolor painting of some mushroom family.
First, I did an outline with a pencil, which I then traced with a Micron liner.
Then, I painted bigger mushroom with brown and a mixture of brown with ochre yellow. I also started painting the leaves with light green.
After that I painted the background with light green. I did several layers, made sure I let them dry before applying next layer. I also added dark green to the leaves, to make them brighter.
Then, I started to work on the little mushroom, I used the same colors as for the big one.
There you go! Let me introduce you the Mushroom family!🙂
I hope you enjoyed the painting process.
Thank you for visiting my blog!

Looks like people are also up voting you here on Steem! I think one thing that has helped, is 50/50 curation. Now since whales can make 50% by just voting, it would be crazy to see them not vote.
@canna-curate I had a long break from Steemit, and it’s been a week since I’m back. My first impression was that all the people moved from Steemit to Hive, but then I noticed that some of my friends are still here, and tried to post here as well. I had to experiment, because I’m pretty much new to all this change. I was going to choose between Steemit and Hive, but now I’m not sure if I have to completely move there, and why not continue posting and comparing.
One thing about the split, content creators are the true winners. You do what you fell is right. Weather you choose both, or go with one, make sure you do it on your own terms:)
Thank you @canna-curate, yes I will try to use both and after a month will see which way to go.
Congratulations, your post has been upvoted by @dsc-r2cornell, which is the curating account for @R2cornell's Discord Community.
Your painting is so amazing and colorful. The green grasses behind the mushroom gave life to it.
Thank you @maxwellmarcusart.
