A little explanation. I live in Transcarpathia. This is now the territory of Ukraine. That was not always the case, and I do not think it forever. This is not a manifestation of separatism. I was born in Ukraine and I love this country. The case is different. The government is ruining the country. But the message of this post is not about it.
When my wife and I came on vacation to Transcarpathia, we saw many Hungarian symbols. At first, it causes an outrage. And after six months of living on this land, I began to respect this. The Hungarians really revere their historical memory. It is really important for them.
Transcarpathia is the land of many nationalities. And that's fine.
Невелике пояснення. Я живу у Закарпатті. Це зараз територія України. Так було не завжди, і думаю це не назавжди. Це не прояв сепаратизму. Я народився в Україні і люблю цю країну. Справа в іншому. Влада розвалює країну. Але меседж цього поста не про це.
Коли ми з дружиною приїхало у відпустку до Закарпаття ми побачили багато Угорської символіки. Спочатку це викликає обурене. А після півроку проживання на цій землі, я почав це поважати. Угорці дійсно шанують свою історичну пам'ять. Це справді для них важливо.
Закарпаття це земля багатьох національностей. І це прекрасно.

Here in my hometown in some places, you just don't joke with their historical memory or something they do as tradition. We just learn to respect and even come to like and love it with time.

Я з тобою згодна. Я колись бачила фото, як цвіте алея сакури в Ужгороді , це неймовірна краса. Там було написано, що цю алею посадили чехи 100 років тому.
У Чернівецькій області живуть румуни. Їх туди не завезли, вони жили там завжди. У них є своя мова, але вони розмовляють українською не гірше нас з вами. Часто їх звинувачують в сепаратизмі, коли вони навіть не думають про це...
