Saturday Date Night
It was a super cold (for San Diego) and rainy night. We had reservations to go to a restaurant I have been wanting to try but with all the rain we chose something more comfortable and laid back! Caffè Calabria in North Park it was!
We had heard great things about this Neapolitan style Caffè and so we went.
We definitely were not disappointed!
The Caprese salad was made with beefsteak tomatoes rather than Roma and burrata replaces the traditional buffalo mozzarella but it was delicious none the less! The stone oven baked pizzas were light and yummy, very like the Neapolitan ones we are used to.
I really wanted to have an affogato for dessert but after a great meal and a couple of Peronis and sangrias I was pleasantly full!
So glad we got to try this Caffè!
What new places have you gone to lately?
